Some Exciting News! :)
It's something I've wanted to do for awhile now, & am finally going to jump in with both feet...I am going to start offering some larger work! A fellow artist I know, Patty Baker, has a brother who started a business called
which supplies artists such as myself with large, collapsible canvas. It comes rolled in a tube & is easily assembled at home, making shipping of such large works of art affordable & user friendly! I will be getting my 1st large canvas soon, 3 foot by 5 foot & I simply cannot wait! Be sure to keep your eyes open as you will start to see some of these beauties show up in my store on etsy! And as always if you are interested in having a custom piece done, feel free to contact me!

Love Landscapes? You Will Love This Artist From Montana
As some of you may or may not know, I am not only an artist, but I love to look at and collect other artists' work as well. I happened to be browsing some of the art listings a couple months ago on ebay and came upon a listing by Taylor (TJ) Lynde with a quote that caught my eye...it said something like 'Be true to your work, and your work will be true to you'. Loved that, it's something I need to remind myself daily... I decided to probe further and discovered some truly beautiful landscapes that he paints in the open, plein air style. He paints in such a way that you feel as though you were right there beside him. I've never been to Montana, but heck his paintings make me want to go there! I've chosen a few of my favorites to share with you here. To learn more about TJ Lynde visit his blog, and be sure to check out his listings on ebay.

Romantic Dinner for Two...
"Romantic Dinner for Two," 9"x 12",
oil on stretched canvas, (available on etsy)
I'm hoping the sun will at least peek out at some stage tomorrow so I can re-photograph this piece as we are currently in the middle of a snowstorm here in Michigan and I wasn't able to get a good photo. The chairs are more lavender in color, and a bit darker than what appears, the hydrangea is a light blue, and the tablecloth has shades of grey and cream. Paintings always look better in real life! :)
