Shhh! It's a Secret!. . .Summer with Matthew Mead

I can't reveal what it is I will be doing, but Matthew Mead has asked me to do something special for the upcoming issue of SUMMER with Matthew Mead & of course I jumped with joy at the opportunity to be a part of one of his creations again! Stay tuned & in the meantime, hop, skip, & jump on over to Matthew's blog!

Romantic Dinner for Two...

"Romantic Dinner for Two," 9"x 12",

oil on stretched canvas, (available on etsy)

I'm hoping the sun will at least peek out at some stage tomorrow so I can re-photograph this piece as we are currently in the middle of a snowstorm here in Michigan and I wasn't able to get a good photo. The chairs are more lavender in color, and a bit darker than what appears, the hydrangea is a light blue, and the tablecloth has shades of grey and cream. Paintings always look better in real life! :)

Summer Nights...

"Summer Nights," 10"x 12", oil on stretched canvas,

(SOLD,thank you!!)

Someday I will throw a fabulous summer party like the one I painted here...but for now I will just have to dream a little dream :o)....I will need to replace the photo tomorrow as I ran out of summer sunlight this evening! Have a great weekend!

(*Update: Replaced the photos and some AWESOME news to share!

I finally reconnected with my art teacher from high school after almost 20 years!, Mrs. June Fox...I was able to let her know that I am now a full-time artist and thanked her for all her support and encouragement back then! I know I would not be where I am today had it not been for her believing in me! Teachers are the best! :o)
