Saying Goodbye...

Although I find painting to be one of the greatest escapes for , I may not pick up the brushes until later today, if at all...my Grandpa is dying. It was so strange yesterday to hear that Farrah Fawcett had died (I grew up playing 'Charlie's Angels' as a young girl) as well as Michael Jackson (my first crush), and then there was my 'Bupa' as we used to call him, lying in his bed, fighting for every breath, family members whispering their goodbyes... Time just really seems to be so fleeting...I will be 37 this July, and yet I don't feel 'that old', but when I see those around me pass away it is a very real reminder of just how fragile life truly is...and how we need to be grateful for each and everyday that we are able to rise up, greet the day, whatever it may bring, and make the very most of this life while we have it!

  10. It is so hard to say good-bye... The world just seems to change when someone we love is not here anymore. The sun doesn't seem to shine as bright and the birds don't seem to sing as much....and your brushes don't want to move on the canvas... but it will come back and there are those still here whom we keep loving that will bring you back the sun and the song of the birds...and the dance of your brushes~ I am so sorry. I am sorry you are hurting. You sweet Bupa will be with you always and I know he will be missed everyday~
    My heart is with you:(

  14. I'm so sorry to hear about your Grandpa. I'm sure your Grandpa loves that you and your family are all with him in these last moments of his life. I'm sure it's hard to watch, but I would think down the road, you will be so glad that you had this time with him. God bless and take care.
