I Made the Front Page!!

Yes, I know yesterday was Easter, not Thanksgiving, but my Mom gave me these old news clippings from when one of my drawings made the front page of the Novi News...circa 1978, I believe I would've been 6 years old :) I probably won't add this to my list of credentials, but it's a pretty neat keepsake for sure!(*my drawing is the one at the top...a Pilgrim and Native American)

Busy as a bee at the easel with commissions, but I wanted to take a moment to wish everyone a truly, blessed Easter! :)

"But the angel answered and said to the women, “Do not be afraid, for I know that you seek Jesus who was crucified.  He is not here; for He is risen, as He said.  Come see the place where the Lord lay. On a Grand Scale...Vintage Swimsuit Painting in Oil

This past week I've been busy finishing up a couple pet portraits, starting a super cool 1950's style vintage portrait for a customer in North Carolina, and have been working on two rather large 18"x 24" paintings of vintage swimsuits (one is above) for a designer in Hong Kong. Some of you may remember I painted a trio of small paintings last summer of vintage swimsuits. There is something truly freeing about painting larger pieces...I think I could really get used to the idea! :) If you are a designer interested in having a commission done feel free to contact me!

I don't think I can contain my excitement here in Michigan as we have been experiencing spring-like weather this past week!...temps in the 50's, birds chirping away, building their nests...a time of true rebirth & renewal! Viva La Spring!

Grreat News from the Art Show at the Dog Show!

Some grreat news to share! I found out today that my "WBRK Westie Radio," painting above won for Best Entry Depicting a Dog From the Terrier Group at the 2010 Art Show at the Dog Show! This piece may still be available for purchase by contacting the Art Show office. It is 11"x14", framed oil on canvas panel, $425. I also have prints available of this piece in my store on etsy.
